Since it debuted on the network in 2010, Garrison has been a
part of the popular TLC reality series. When it was first broadcast, Brown was
a young child. The show follows his father's polygamous lifestyle in Utah,
where Kody is married to numerous people. Kody and Janelle were wed until their
divorce last year.
Garrison expressed interest in joining the military once he reached adulthood.
Despite his desire to enlist in the Army, Garrison ultimately joined the
National Guard and, following the epidemic, moved out of his parents' house and
into his own.
Madison, Logan, Garrison, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savanah were the couple's six children after Janelle and Kody were spiritually married in 1993. Janelle disclosed that she and Kody had split up in December 2022.
Kody's relationship with his kids had gotten worse over time, as Janelle
subsequently revealed in a candid interview, lamenting the difficult
relationship her kids had with their father.
"My concerns are on the mental well-being of my youngsters. Gabriel has a
profound sense of everything. She continued, saying that Garrison "just
seems unhappy or sadder, like, he's not as happy-go-lucky as he used to
be." He's also the kid who doesn't say anything, she added.
Kody acknowledged the distance that had grown between him
and his kids in a subsequent acknowledgement that coincided with the release of
an episode in May 2023, emphasizing his hope that in "time" they will
be able to "just get over this."
"I believe and hope that we will eventually move past this and feel
comfortable around one another again. There's not exactly an open door between
Gabe and Garrison at the moment. He said, "They're not eager to engage
me."
